The Mountain Equipment AR Ultralite is a spacious tent with ultralight supplied poles, dual skin with built in flysheet. The AR Ultralite is large enough to sit upright and has two side entrances.

Changes to new 2006 model
- The weights are actually lower than those published by ME. We checked them on our highly accurate postal scales. The weights given at the top of this page are for the complete tent (inner&outer, poles, pegs, stowsacks).
- The 2006 model includes the required poles, they are no longer an optional extra.
- The poles are much lighter than the optional ones upplied in 2005
- The tent pegs are new designs. They weigh 10GM each and are of a design nicer to handle than the old ones
What the AR Ultralite it like in windy weather? We are asked about this often so we erected the AR Ultralite in a force 4-5 wind and left it for a day to see how it faired. It was so windy we used double tent pegs at right angles otherwise the pegs would have pulled out! The tent flapped and would have been noisy inside but it faired very well and remained stable. So in our opinion a pass
